Lagrasse is classified as one of the “most beautiful villages in France”. It is in the heart of the Corbières that the mighty Benedictine abbey Sainte-Marie de l’Orbieu reigns. Built under the protection of the abbots, on the paths of Santiago de Compostela, Lagrasse was home to one of the largest fairs in the region. Around the 14th century hall, life and power are organized, as evidenced by rich medieval houses and the Gothic Church of St. Michael.
